January 29, 2012 January 29 - 31, 2012 Kelly Clarkson tweeted on Jan 29 about being at the movies with Clay (a snarky comment about being quiet at the movies). He responded with an equally snarky response. We still don't know what they saw...or if anyone needed to be slapped. Two days later, Clay and friend Quiana Parler attended Kelly's concert in Durham, NC. The News & Observer posted a great photo of him in the audience. He enjoyed the show immensely and tweeted a great picture. Kelly's response (via twitter) was "who is that sexy couple?!" Lynda Loveland of WRAL-FM also attended the show. Patricia is devastated to learn that the money earned by Team Forte will go to Team Unanimous. A total of $494,082 will go to Paul's charity Make A Wish Foundation. Thanks to the win, the men are not in danger of being fired. They celebrate back in the suite and sit back to watch the drama unfold in the board room. James Lipton of "Inside The Actor's Studio" was a judge along with Donald Trump Jr. and the Medieval Time's audience, which cast votes for the best performance. February 26, 2012 The episode starts with Paul presenting a check to a young representative of Make A Wish from the earnings from Episode 1. After the teams meet Trump and James Lipton, they set about the task of creating and performing a show. Adam Carolla is absent from this task due to a prior commitment. Project manager of Team Unanimous uses his teammate's talents - Michael is stage manager, Penn and Arsenio provide running commentary and jokes, George narrates, and Lou and Paul engage in mock battle over the lovely "Lady Dee Dee" who is accompanied by her melodious troubadour Clay of Aiken. Lisa Lampanelli of Team Forte organizes the ladies into "The Unreal Housewives of Camelot" (with a bit of Jersey Shore thrown in). Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
February 26, 2012 The teams are brought into the boardroom and quizzed about who should leave. There is tension from Lou when Penn reluctantly names him and George. James and Donald Jr. go through the results from Medieval Times. The men win the "popular" vote and also receive high marks from James Lipton who praises the casting, high energy, and execution of the performance. The women also received praise for a fun concept. Team Unanimous wins $20,000 from Apprentice and a matching $20,000 from Medieval Times for Penn's charity, Opportunity Village. The men leave and the women participate in a *spirited* discussion. Lisa brings back Victoria Gotti for not stepping up to the stage manager role; she also brings back Dayana at Aubrey's suggestion. Trump decides to fire Victoria. Victoria's charity is the Association to Benefit Children, an association focusing on disadvantaged children. If you want to donate, go to: http://www.a-b-c.org/ Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
March 4, 2012 All of the Trumps - Donald sr., Donald jr., Ivanka, and Eric - are in the boardroom. Dayana refuses to name the two she would bring back. Eric tries to get Clay to talk about George's management, based on Clay's lack of "poker face" the day before. Clay praises George for his gay rights advocacy and for his management. Ivanka makes her decision. The women win this round. The men are criticized for a confusing day presentation (is Clay the boss or assistant) and a poorly visible night presentation (choice of midnight blue background was ill-advised). However, she praised Paul's logo display. George brings back Arsenio who takes the responsibility for the fashion choices, including the trench coat that Clay chose! (not discussed on the show but in his post-show blog). He also brought back Lou who felt underutilized. Ultimately, George takes responsibility and he is fired. He gives a classy exit speech in the cab. Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
March 4, 2012 "How Much Is that Celebrity In The Window" The task given was to create a "living window" display for the Ivanka Trump Collection. The women choose Dayana Mendoza as the Project Manager due to her modeling experience. Her charity is the Latino Commission on AIDS. For more information, go to: http://www.latinoaids.org The men choose George Takei as project manager. His charity is the Japanese American National Museum. For more information, go to: http://www.janm.org Who will create the best window displays? Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
March 4, 2012 The teams receive the task and immediately start strategizing. The men decide to do an Ivanka by Day window in which Clay plays the assistant to three business women, played by twins (Penn's idea). The other window is Ivanka by Night in which Arsenio is on the red carpet interviewing the other half of twins in evening wear. Arsenio, Clay, George, Penn shop for clothes while Paul, Adam, Lou, Michael work on the set. Dee is in emergency surgery to put four pins in his finger (broken two days previous). Team Forte decides to do a clock theme but has to adjust at the last minute when they have a printing snafu. Aubrey steps up with a last minute scenario to re-envision the ladies' windows. Both teams put together visually striking displays. The men have a set back when George has difficulty presenting the window, forgetting Clay's name briefly. Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
March 11, 2012 "Failure to Launch" Boardroom The Trumps are critical of the decision to make Adam project manager. Michael points out he knows cars but is not a host. Adam was very confident in the men's presentation. When asked who he would bring back, he said emphatically "No one" and said it didn't matter because the men's team won. But all contestants, including the women, are shocked to learn that the women's team was judged by the Trumps and Buick to have won the challenge. Lou received criticism from Unanimous but Adam still refused to bring back two team members. Hence, Trump decided to fire two people! In a decision sure to cause controversy, he fired Adam, then Michael. Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
March 11, 2012 "Failure to Launch" Highlights The episode starts with a tearful Dayana presenting a check to the Latino Commission on AIDS. The teams meet Trump and Buick executives, who expect Michael Andretti to be project manager. However, Michael suggests Adam as manager. The execs ask for a presentation that is witty but not "beer commercial" funny. Adam is clearly leading the show. But he and the team craft an information packed and fun presentation. It is clear that Adam knows cars! And Michael is brought on stage for his perspective. The men use "heckling" to bring out the points of the car. Despite initial reservations it may rely too much on humor, the men leave feeling they've done a great job. The women use "auditions" for their presentation, focusing on theme "We are Buick" and also that the car is their "reflection." Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
March 11, 2012 "Failure to Launch" Synopsis The teams are tasked with launching the Buick Verano to a live and an online audience. Debbie Gibson volunteers as the project manager for Forte. Her charity is Children International, which helps children around the world overcome the burdens of poverty. This event focuses on enhancing the lives of African American women by addressing health, relationship, and lifestyle issues. March 18, 2012 Boardroom - The men are grilled about Lou's success as a project manager. Clay says Lou gave "120 percent." Paul is named by Dee as a weak player but it is pointed out that Paul came up with the concept. Lou says he would bring back Paul and Penn. The situation between Clay and Penn is discussed. Clay repeats his statement that Penn is condescending but also notes Penn is hardworking. Clay supports Paul as a strong player. Trump asks Clay whether Idol or Apprentice is harder; Clay says Apprentice! The men are told they have won. They go back to watch the women. There is tension among the women as they criticize Dayana, Theresa, and Tia. Aubrey makes some comments about Tia's age that cause the men to go "Oh, no she didn't!" Finally, Tia asks Trump if she doesn't bring anyone back whether he will fire two. He says no; she then takes full responsibility and is fired. She makes a dignified exit. Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
March 18, 2012 "I'm Going To Mop The Floor With You" Highlights The episode starts with Debbie presenting $50K to the grateful representatives from Children International. After receiving their task, the teams strategize. Penn stresses the men's team by shooting down all the ideas. A frustrated Clay tells him he's being condescending. Paul comes up with the idea of "I'm going to mop the floor with you." The team gets to work. While shopping, Clay and Arsenio talk out the situation with Penn. On the women's team, Dayana is trying to have input but is just annoying Aubrey. Their concept is "what's your number" referring to mops but with a slightly naughty double meaning. The men work together to help Lou. Clay helps Lou with his speech and some dance moves. Lou is an excellent dancer and does a great job. The final video looks great. The women's video is cute....but excludes Dayana. Clay and Penn attempt to work out their differences (unsuccessfully). Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
March 18, 2012 "I'm Going To Mop The Floor With You" The teams are tasked with creating a viral video to promote the O-Cedar Pro-Mist mop. The prize is $20K from Apprentice and $30K from O-Cedar. Lou and Tia both step up to the plate as project managers as both feel they have something to prove to Trump and their teams. Tia's charity is After School All-Stars Hawaii. This charity provides after-school programs that keep children safe and help them succeed. March 25, 2012 All the men are complimentary of their party and praised Clay's management. This makes it tough for Clay to name two to bring back. He reluctantly names Dee....then manages to name both Lou and Paul as well (giving Trump three names). Aubrey is confident of a win....and is stunned when the men win. She starts crying and Trump offers to give her charity $10K. Clay apologizes to his teammates for naming them. He explains how much the money means for including campers with disabilities into camp programs. Aubrey brings back Dayana and Patricia. Both Aubrey and Patricia want Dayana to be fired...but Trump fires Patricia Velasquez for failing on the Crystal Lite branding. Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
March 25, 2012 Honda Grand Prix Clay and Aubrey O'Day were invited by the Andretti family to sing the National Anthem at the Honda Grand Prix in St. Petersburg, Florida. They assemble a lively party with sand on the floor, tiki bars, surfboards, soul train lines, Hawaiian shirts, a lovely Under The Boardwalk singalong, and limbo. The women focus on an upscale party. Debbie Gibson writes, records, and sings a new song for Crystal Lite. Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News

March 26, 2012 Clay appeared on the 4th hour of the Today Show for an interview with cohosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb. They had appeared visiting the Unanimous party on Apprentice the previous evening. We got a peek at Clay in the green room, chowing down very enthusiastically on muffins (one in each hand, with a basket of them in front). Clay discussed Celebrity Apprentice, saying it was 20 times harder than American Idol. He wore his hoodie for the interview in silent memory for Trayvon Martin and said he was hoping for justice in that case. He finished with a discussion of his new CD, Steadfast, being released that day. The Today Show Television Show List
March 27, 2012 Clay was interviewed by A. J. Hammer. They discussed a variety of topics, including his new compilation album Steadfast, the Miss Universe transgender contestant controvery, and the Trayvon Martin case. Showbiz Tonight Television Show List

The other guest was Jenna Jameson, adult film star, so it was an interesting evening! Bravo Network Television
March 29, 2012 VH1 Big Morning Buzz - Interview Clay had a great chat with VH1 hostess Carrie Keagan. He was very chatty; They discussed Bring Back My Love, Steadfast, the origin of the term "chach", how the producers coaxed that out of him on the Apprentice show, his relationship with Penn Jillette, his board room strategy (and how it disappears when you're in the board room), and his unexpected collaboration with Dee Snider on Dee's Broadway album. VH1 showed some great graphics to promote Clay, the album, and the National Inclusion Project. VH1 Television

April 1, 2012 Clay was able to surprise Kristy Barnes White of National Inclusion Project at an inclusion activity at Camp Combe YMCA in Putnam Valley, New York. He joined the children participating and then presented Kristy with a $20,000 check from Celebrity Apprentice and another one from Crystal Lite. This is the money won by Team Unanimous for the Crystal Lite Launch party. Clay explained the mission of the National Inclusion Project, which is the inclusion of all children. Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
April 1, 2012 The teams are shocked to be switched up. Dee, Lou, and Penn are sent to Forte; Aubrey and Theresa join Unanimous. They set to work on the task, which is a presentation and a box to hold the Walk With Walgreens kit. Clay suggests a game show idea, which Unanimous implements. Arsenio has a difficult time managing Aubrey and getting her to follow his directions although her ideas are good. They argue over the picture and quote for Arsenio's side of the box. The presentation goes well, although the executives thought it was too fact-based. Clay proves he would be an amazing announcer. Forte focuses on activities that can be done while walking, using their team to demonstrate. Lou's introduction is very good and inspirational. The executives loved him. However, they hated Forte's box, which included words like "itching." A tired Penn makes the mistake of saying "Walmart" instead of "Walgreens". Alison Sweeney (Biggest Loser) was a judge Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
April 1, 2012 The teams learn that the women won for the best guidebook, despite his praise for the men's book. He loved the cover of the women's book and the content of the men's book. The men argue about the Blue Man Group donation. Penn argues that Blue Man Group "doesn't handle money" and was fine with the delivery; Clay was upset that so much money was lost. Trump agreed with Clay. When the winning team is announced, it is learned that the men have won by just $14! Dee is happy that he will be able to deliver a large check ($326,000) to the March of Dimes. Theresa brings back Dayana and Debbie to the boardroom. Trump decided to fire Debbie for bringing in the least money. However, Aubrey, who was not brought back, brought in the least money to Forte in the task. Debbie jokes that Trump can't fire her from being Debbie Gibson in her exit interview. Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
April 1, 2012 The teams took different approaches. Team Unanimous stayed within Trump Tower to take pictures and write their book. They focused on neighborhoods (i.e. East side, etc). In contrast, the members of Forte took to the streets of New York to photograph and write about their favorite places (bakeries, theatres, tourist attractions). They all started dialling their contacts to see who would donate a large sum to buy a book! On the day of the sale, the teams took to the streets of NYC to sell their guidebooks. Penn Jillette invited Blue Man group to their booth and to make a demonstration. This was entertaining but their method of money delivery (blowing it from a leaf blower) caused a riot when bystanders scrambled to grab the cash. Clay, who was knocked down and who had people grabbing money from him, estimated that less than half was returned to Team Unanimous. He was very unhappy with the chaos. Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
April 1, 2012 The teams were switched up! Aubrey and Theresa moved to Unanimous; Penn, Lou, and Dee moved to Forte. The teams were tasked with creating a live presentation and designing a box for the Walk With Walgreens program and kit. Walk With Walgreens is a new program designed to promote fitness through walking. Lou Ferrigno was the project manager for Forte (his second time as manager). His charity is the Muscular Dystrophy Association. This organization is dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related diseases. April 1, 2012 The teams were tasked with using Toshiba tablets to create a New York City guidebook, which they would then sell. They would be judged on best book and most money raised. Theresa Giudice was the project manager for Team Forte. Her charity is NephCure, which focuses on research and treatment for certain kidney diseases. For more info, go to: http://www.nephcure.org Dee Snider volunteered for Unanimous. His charity, March of Dimes, focuses on the prevention of birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. This is personal to him as two of his four children were born prematurely. For more information on March of Dimes, go to: http://www.marchofdimes.com Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
April 1, 2012 Trump quizzes Unanimous. Aubrey takes credit for Arsenio's quote; Arsenio gets angry. Arsenio, Clay, and Paul all agree that Aubrey should be the one fired and that Theresa is a team player; Aubrey is not. Unanimous wins! Arsenio's charity, the Magic Johnson foundation, will receive $20,000 from Apprentice and $30,000 from Walgreens. But the team is fractured. Aubrey unexpectedly leaves. Clay advises a confused Theresa to let Aubrey do what she wants. Back in the war room, Arsenio tearfully talks about his cousin Sharon who died of AIDS. He is so emotional that he won for the Magic Johnson Foundation, which will bring mobile HIV testing units to urban communities. Forte is left to face Trump. Lou brings back Dayana and Dee even though Penn made the Walmart/Walgreens mistake. Trump says that the executives hated the box that Dee designed. Unfortunately, that causes him to fire Dee. Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
April 8, 2012 Lou and Lisa got into an ugly argument in the board room over rude comments made by Lisa after the last board room. In contrast, Unanimous presents a united front. The teams view each other's commercials. Clay is proud of the Unanimous commercial. However, Lou upsets his team when he says that he likes the other team's commercial better because they cast some of their team. He had wanted to be cast. However, Trump asks if maybe Penn could have been cast. When Paul is asked about strong players, he named Clay as someone who was an all-around talent. Unanimous won the challenge. Entertainment.com liked their commercial better. Hence Theresa's charity will receive $60,000. Dayana sends Penn to safety. Lisa and Lou continue their argument. Trump fires Lou. He tells Trump he doesn't want to be fired but Trump says his decision is final. Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
April 8, 2012 The episode opened with Arsenio skyping friend Magic Johnson to inform him of the donation won from last week's task. They completed the call with a celebratory "head bump." Arsenio apologized to Aubrey for his choice of language to her. Then the teams set about scripting and casting their commercials. Forte went with a suggestion from Dayana for a cute love story aided by coupons. Unanimous came up with the concept of a Dad and daughter who used old and new styles of couponing. Clay wrote a script that was quite racy and funny and filled with double entendres. Paul, who was cast as the dad, was a good sport about being made to look dweeby; Aubrey played his daughter. The executives seemed to love both Forte's and Unanimous's videos. Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
April 8, 2012 The teams are challenged to create a 60 second commercial for Entertainment.com, showing their online applications (computer, smart phone, etc alternatives to their coupon books). Dayana volunteered to project manage for Forte, even before her group had a chance to huddle. Her charity is the Latino Commission on AIDS. For more information, go to: http://www.latinoaids.org Unanimous all agreed that Theresa should be project manager. Her charity is NephCure. April 15, 2012 Forte was judged to have the best puppet show. Clay was praised by Penn and Lisa for his puppetry and improv. The Forte win meant that Lisa won $20,000 for her charity, Gay Men's Health Crisis. She joked with Clay in the war room that she didn't know how to turn on the TV to watch the board room, since she wasn't used to winning. Paul had not been able to participate fully in his task for Unanimous due to a bad back that flared up. Sadly, he was fired. Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
April 15, 2012 "Puppet Up" Synopsis The teams are shaken up again as Clay is moved from Unanimous to Forte. The task is to design two puppets and to perform with the Henson Alternative "Stuffed and Unstrung" Improvisional troupe for an adult aucience. Lisa Lampanelli volunteers to be the project manager for Forte. Her charity is the Gay Men's Health Crisis. For more information, go to: http://www.gmhc.org No on on Unanimous feels comfortable managing a puppet project. Paul Teutul sr. steps forward to take it on. His charity is the Make A Wish Foundation. For more information, go to: http://www.wish.org Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
April 15, 2012 Trump delivers the task in FAO Schwartz. He sends Clay to Forte to even up the teams. Clay is glad to volunteer as a puppeteer. He had experience from church! Lisa is the other puppeter for Forte; Penn is the host. Dayana is great at puppet design but is upset at being left out by Lisa. On Unanimous, Theresa struggles with the rules of "improv" and opening the puppet's mouth with each syllable. However, Arsenio does a great job and Aubrey is a good host. Paul has a bad back, which prevents him from doing more than supervising. Clay is an amazing puppeteer and improv artist. Lisa is funny and Penn is a good host although doesn't cut off some sketches at the right time. The show goes extremely well, even though Clay and Lisa get a bit naughty with their jokes. But they know they "killed" from the audience's great response. This included Brian Henson and Patrick Bristow from the Stuffed and Unstrung improv troupe. Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
April 22, 2012 Clay was very complimentary of the team. Lisa praised Clay's project management skills saying that he was one of her two top project managers, the other being Aubrey. The executives agreed that Forte's display was beautiful. However, they hated the slogan that Penn suggested "You earned it" saying that it was pompous. They also loved Unanimous's takeaways, which Forte did not have. Unanimous wins. But Trump decides to award $40K to Aubrey and $10 K to each of the others since he considered they all performed well. Clay sent Lisa to safety. That left him, Dayana, and Penn in danger of being fired. He kept Dayana there based on history despite a good performance on the task; he brought in Penn based on the slogan although he though Penn should stay going forward. He commented on Penn's reluctance to take on the project. Trump fired Penn because he said the execs hated the slogan. 2012 News Celebrity Apprentice
April 22, 2012 The episode begins with Lisa eating lunch with representatives of Gay Mens' Health crisis and presenting them with a $20K check. The teams set to work. Despite Penn's claims at task presentation that he had no ideas, he strongly pitches definite ideas about the design and slogan. Clay, who is leading by consensus, agrees. Both teams use a cityscape design. Forte uses the beautiful Dayana Mendoza as a model plus a male model wearing a Trump tie. Unanimous uses Eric Trump as a model for a silhouette of a young Donald Trump. At the presentation, Clay presents a short straightforward presentation. The execs expect him to continue. His team does not offer any additional comments, even when asked. Celebrity Apprentice 2012 News
April 22, 2012 The teams are invited to Donald Trump's palatial, gilt-edged apartment. They are assigned the task of creating a display to market his cologne "Success." The prize is $20K but with a potential bonus to $100K for a fantastic display. Penn declined to be project manager, so Clay took it on for Forte. He was playing for "National Inclusion Project." For more information, go to: http://www.inclusionproject.org Aubrey was the project manager for Unanimous. She was playing for the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network. April 29, 2012 Aubrey presented some young representatives and Eliza Byard of GLSEN with a check from her previous win. The teams set about the task of creating and recording their jingle. Forte agrees immediately that Clay needed to be the singer. Clay and Lisa wanted to do a 60s theme and style but first had to convince project manager Dayana. It was difficult for her to communicate on the music since she described music as "colors". Although she did not have a music background, she attempted to manage the music and presentation portion of the project. This frustrated Clay. However, their Good Sam jingle and presentation was very well done. Team Unanimous used Aubrey as the lead singer; their presentation started with a skit as a couple (Arsenio and Teresa) lost, and finding help with the Good Sam App (which arrived in the form of Aubrey as a cheerleader). Arsenio also included some rap in their presentation. Celebrity Apprentice Television Show List
