Clay did a 25 minute interview with
Debra Morgan of WRAL. This was a continuation of the interview from May
11. He talked about how he plans to take some time off from recording but wants
to do some fun things. He mentioned filming Drop Dead Diva, a funnyordie
video. He also mentioned the fun of singing for a friend's wedding, something
he had not been able to do for years. Clay also mentioned being in talks for
future projects. Clay talked about how Parker is now having conversations
with him; he wants to spend more time with him and not miss anything.

| June 17/10 WRAL welcomed Clay for a brief interview.
Clay spoke about his new CD, but forgot to bring along a copy to be able to show! He referenced the PBS special & a short clip of 'Mack the Knife' was shown.
With regard to the 'Timeless Tour', Clay used his 'Sonny & Cher' comparison, pointing out that he & Ruben work well together in spite of being such opposites in many ways.
He continued to deflect questions about his child, saying that he wants Parker to grow up away from the limelight. He joked that he was looking forward to Father's Day because now it's about *him*!
The hosts & Clay chatted most about the up-coming benefit concert for the North Carolina Theatre, "Bringing Broadway Home". The event was slated for Monday. Clay said that he had been visiting the theatre headquarters & mentioned that he'd be happy to do something for them, Within a week, area talent with connections to NCT & Broadway were lined up & a date set. Clay joked that he was practicing the songs while driving around! |

On 3/11/2010, WRAL showed a short interview with Clay as he prepared for the taping of his PBS television special. He seemed very relaxed and excited to be back in his hometown for such an important career move.
He verified that his CD would be standards from the 1950s and 1960s. |

On 1/17/09, Lynda Loveland moved to WRAL radio. Clay called in to congratulate her.

| Late January media bits included a look back at the Sardi's caricature and a look forward to the 'Golfing For Inclusion' auction. WRAL TV had a cute poll on their website. Apparently there are a few 'Clay Aiken's' in the Raleigh area! *g* |

Clay appeared at the local Crabtree mall for WRAL's Welcome Home
celebration. He brought Raleigh with him and showed her off to the
crowd.

| Nov. 11/02 WRAL Interview: Upon his return from Atlanta, Clay contacted local media outlets to see if anyone was interested in his story. WRAL's Lynda Loveland came to the Parker home and recorded an interview. (To this day, she continues to be his 'go to' person with the area news sites.) Clay related the tale of his audition and sang bits of 'Over the Rainbow' and 'Always and Forever'. |
