In February Clay's name or picture appeared in various places like Mad Magazine, a Jeopardy question, a People magazine poll and in a People Yearbook edition for his work in Banda Aceh after the tsunami.
There were a few odds and ends we missed along the way. In April Clay took in The Color Purple on Broadway. In May he was featured on Fox's American Idol Hall of Fame. In September he took a picture with Per Magnusson and David Kreuger and in December he was on NBC's page for Days of our lives.
On 5/10/06, Clay went to Middlesex Middle School in Darien, CT for UNICEF. That school won the first ever UNICEF Kids helping Kids Challenge when they raised over 14 thousand dollars through Trick or Treat for UNICEF and other fund raising efforts. In support of the challenge, Proctor and Gamble donated $150,000 to UNICEF.
In July 2006, Clay's hair was still the rage in the media...US Magazine and Parade both featured him. Clay kept busy visiting the YMCA at home in Raleigh.
In August 2006 we started getting news about A thousand different ways which was to come out in September. American Idol Magazine featured Michael Sandecki, and InStyle had another poll.
On 9/26/06, there was a record signing event at the Virgin record megastore in Hollywood California. Jimmy Kimmel stopped by to record a bit for his show later that night.
On 9/18/06, Clay fans around the US and Canada and even some in Singapore gathered together at midnight to celebrate the release of Clay's cd, A Thousand Different Ways.
Timed to coincide with the release of his new cd, A thousand different ways, People magazine did an article on Clay which came out on 9/22/06. He spoke candidly about how celebrity had influenced his life.
9/06 - Quiana Parler posted some pictures of the band on her myspace page that were taken at some events during September. These included various poses of Quiana, Angela Fisher, Cheche Alara, Daniel Pearson, Andy Abad, Felix Pollard and of course Clay Aiken.
In October there was a promotional video and a publicity photo that made it's way to the public and someone captured a photo of a sales display in Korea.
In October, The University of North Carolina at Charlotte's Niner Online did a cd review, another magazine mentioned his upcoming soap opera role, Image magazine did an interview with Michael Orland with a mention of Clay, and Hello magazine featured an article about David Foster including a picture of Clay.
In November there were a number of Clay mentions in the Media. People magazine, TV Guide, and a couple of newspaper mentions including one in Singapore.
In December there were a number of Soap magazine mentions about his appearance on Days of our lives. There was even an Australian soap magazine that featured an article.
In December Clay's name appeared in a variety of media. He was featured in a horoscope, Newsweek had a caption contest, his allergies were highlighted, his penchant for Paul Smith and they even asked him about a movie.
