Nov. 11/02 WRAL Interview: Upon his return from Atlanta, Clay contacted local media outlets to see if anyone was interested in his story. WRAL's Lynda Loveland came to the Parker home and recorded an interview. (To this day, she continues to be his 'go to' person with the area news sites.) Oct. 20/02 Charlotte Auditions: This on-line write-up describes the process at the first American Idol audition Clay attended in Charlotte NC. The prize was a chance to by-pass the screening rounds and go before the judges in Atlanta. Clay sang 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' but was beaten by talented local gal, Quiana Parlor.
