On Oct. 18, 2008, The Bubel Aiken Foundation held its annual Gala in Raleigh, NC. With raffles, video, auctions and a special performance by Clay, it was a wonderful evening shared by fans from all over.  During the silent and open bidding auctions, money was raised to support programs of the BAF. Thanks to events like this and 'Wrapping for Inclusion', kids with disabilities will get to enjoy camp activities with their typical peers next summer.  One of the items in the gift bags for Gala attendees was a copy of the Bubel Aiken Foundation's Christmas stories book. These were stories that were submitted last year for the 'Christmas in the Heartland' tour. Some were read at venues, but the book includes a wider selection.  On 11/08/08, The BAF Gala Report was posted at their website. The final numbers show over $500,000 raised in support of the inclusion efforts of the organization |
