The 'National Inclusion Project' (formerly the 'Bubel/Aiken Foundation') posted some updated information about the 2009 Wrapping for Inclusion (also included is an item from Carolina Newswire about that) and announced the date for the 2010 'Golfing for Inclusion' event.  The organization was given a coveted 4 star rating by 'Charity Navigator', a group which evaluates how well any charity uses the funds they raise to support their specific cause. The N.I.P. should be proud of its accomplishments!

The third annual GFI for the National Inclusion project was held a Mirasol Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Co-founders Clay & Diane Bubel were again joined by golf pro Wayne Player. Though rain drove the golfers off the course early, the rest of the day was a great success. Guests enjoyed a live auction of golf-related goodies and Clay-centric items and a lovely dinner. They were then treated to a mini-concert by Clay, including a couple of songs from his up-coming Decca release and requests made by donors to the foundation. A Florida children's camp run by the Lion's Club was the recipient of one of the 2010 grants. Other groups receiving grants will be announced later.
Feb. 1. 2010 The Palm Beach Post on-line included an article about the National Inclusion project's 'Golfing for Inclusion' day that was being held at the Mirasol Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, FL that day
Feb 2/3, 2010 Golf Blogger Spreads N.I.P. Message. The goal of the 'Golfing for Inclusion' event is to spread the word about the National Inclusion Project's mission and to raise funds to support its activities. The author of this blog blog came away impressed with Clay and with the work of the organization. Not only did he write about the event, but he added a link to the N.I.P. on his website and promises to let other golfers know about next year's event so that they may also become involved. He was also amazed at the response he got from Clay fans who visited his site to read his blog and who left positive comments. We thank Larry for allowing us to post the two blogs. Drop by his site if golf is 'your thing'!
Feb. 10, 2010 N.I.P. GFI Report The 'National Inclusion Project' posted its report on the February 1st 'Golfing For Inclusion' day. The event raised over $150,000 dollars in support of the Project's activities. That would fund a number of inclusive summer camps for this year! They currently have a presence in 38 states. Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America was the Title Sponsor of the 3rd Annual Golfing for Inclusion. American Portfolios Financial Services, Inc. continued its support of Golfing for Inclusion by becoming a Platinum Sponsor
March 17, 2010 PBG Lifestyle magazine published a great article on the recent 'Golfing for Inclusion' event staged by the 'National Inclusion Project'.
